One area that  has been focused on is accidents involving vehicles or machines that typically use turbocharged diesel engines. These can present a fire risk, especially if there is a hydraulic hose failure and hydraulic oil is sprayed onto very hot engine parts such as the exhaust manifold, turbocharger or exhaust system. One way to reduce the possibility of fire is to fit exhaust manifold, turbocharger and exhaust system heat shields and blankets.

These diesel engines can be fitted to generators, earthmoving equipment, trucks, drilling rigs, rock crushers, marine vesels and 4WD’s.

Kool Wrap now offers exhaust manifold covers that are  a universal fit or can be custom made for your application.

Kool Wrap Exhaust manifold heat shield blankets are made from 3 layer composite insulation. The prime insulation material is 25m thick Needle Felt ceramic fibre or wool. An inner layer of stainless steel wire mesh keeps the insulation in place surrounded by an outer layer of very tough silicone or teflon coated fiberglass. This outer layer repels oil spills and provides  along lasting and easy to clean outercover.
